Our Mission
Existing Need
At any given point there are over 500,000 children in the U.S. foster care system and over 150,000
orphans waiting for adoptions. On average those children wait for almost 4 years.
The Hope for Children Minsitry is an outreach of Calvary Chapel Treasure Valley.
We are dedicated to advocating for the adoption of orphans waiting for families,
and raising funds to help facilitate the expenses of these adoptions.
Increasing Need
With the worsening of the local and national economy comes an almost instant rise in the rates of child
abuse, neglect, and alcohol and drug abuse. Some families will be rehabilitated, but for those
children who can’t be reunited with their biological families their healing begins with a new loving
forever family.
Subsidized Costs
Unlike private adoptions which can cost from $10,000 to $20,000 or more, adoptions from foster care
are largely subsidized by the state.
